Nicholas Fedor receives All-New England honors with a sixth place finish at the New England Championships.

Men's Meet Results

BOSTON, Mass.  - The Southern Connecticut State University men's indoor track and field team finished in third place behind UConn and Rhode Island as day two came to a close on the New England Championships held on Saturday.
In the high jump, Jared Dixon (Middle Village, N.Y.) finished seventh with a jump of 1.98 meters.

Russell Fallo (Redding, Conn.) finished 13th in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 7.25 inches.

Senior Joseph Poulsen (Oxford, Conn.) finished 12th in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:58.77.

Nicholas Fedor (Bethany, Conn.) and A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn.) placed sixth and ninth, respectively in the weight throw with tosses of 17.11 and 16.91 meters.

In the 400 meter dash, Logan Sharpe (Esperance, N.Y.) claimed third with a time of 48.49, while Stenson Jean-Baptiste (Stratford, Conn.) took fourth within two-hundredths of a second behind his teammate with a time of 48.66.

Selasi Lumax (Somerset., N.J.) took third in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:49.47, while Josh Perry# (Naugatuck, Conn.) and #Corey DeLaCruz (Alamagorado, N.M.) finished sixth and seventh with times of 1:50.97, and 1:53.78 respectively.

#Patrick Waszcak# (Colchester, Conn.) was fifth in the pole vault with a leap of 15 feet, seven inches, while Nelson Laskoski (Pomfret Center, Conn.) was right behind in sixth with a mark of 15 feet, 1.5 inches. Jonathan Galli (Redding, Conn.) also finished eighth.

The 4x400 meter relay team of DeLaCruz, Perry, Joseph Poulsen (Oxford, Conn.) and Rudolph Cowan (Hartford, Conn.) was second with a time of 3:13.92.

The distance medley relay team of Sharpe, Lumax, Stenson and Nana Ocran (Manchester, Conn.) was second with a time of 9:57.78.

Any student athlete that finished within the top eight of their respective event receives All-New England honors.

The Owls will be back in action at the IC4A Championships in Boston, Mass. Mar. 5-6. with a scheduled start time of 12 p.m.
