The men's track fared well in multiple events at the Gigengack Invitational.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Men's track and field team held strong in the standings after day one of the Gigengack Invitational held at Yale on Friday. Senior Nicholas Fedor (Bethany, Conn.) finished second in the weight throw with a distance of 56 feet, 8 inches, while freshman #A.J. Guerra# (Stafford Springs, Conn.) placed third with a throw of 55 feet, 11.75 inches.

Junior David Bannerman (South Winsor, Conn.) finished ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 49 feet, 2.5 inches.

Junior Kyle Reiss (North Haven, Conn.) ran a 15:22.50 time in the 5000 meter run to place 10th.

The Owls look to continue with a strong performance in Day two of the Gigengack Invitational tomorrow at Yale.
