Girls Sprints
The most anticipated showdown triplet set at the Open was a great one as Alanna Smith won the opener in the 100m and Sidney Segalla powered to the win in the 400m. The 200m was the decider in the rubber match, and Segalla got the lean by .01 to take two of three. But with Kaitlyn Fay edging out Segalla for the silver in the 100m, both Segalla and Smith wound up contributing 26 points to their team's scores. Other double digit scorers in the sprints included Fay at 11.5 counting a relay share and Anna-Sashia Jones and Molly Harding, both of whom racked up 10 points, while D'Jior Delisser totaled 14 points mainly from her long jump title. Note that a big part of the reason for the much better times in the 100 prelims than the finals had to do with a nice tailwind versus a stiff headwind.
