Class MM's Top Runners
Three top runners in MM lead what might realistically be the class's three top teams.
Jack Martin (Avon). The Falcon senior won the Class MM XC title back in 2019, and last year he had one of the fastest 600m times in the nation and pulled off a trifecta of wins in the 800m-1600m-3200 events in Class MM last June.
Luke Anthony (East Lyme). Anthony led his Vikings to the 2019 MM title when he finished 2nd to Jack Martin as a sophomore, and he also finished 2nd to Martin in the MM's 1600m and 3200m races in June before becoming one of ten guys to go sub 4:20 in the 1600m at the Open.
Justin Shiffrin (Guilford). The Grizzly senior was 7th in the SCC merge last fall for a team that was 2nd only to Xavier, and now with Tanner Updyke graduated, it will be up to Shiffrin to lead the team.
Liam Fedigan (Jonathan Law). The Lawmen junior finished 10th in the SEC merge last year and will be counted on to run big for a team that has no other returning runners from the meet's top 100 finishers.
Harrison Grenier (Daniel Hand). The Tiger junior was 12th overall in the SCC last year and leads a team that should compete strongly in Class MM this year.
Carver Morgan (Avon). The Falcon senior's 5th in the CCC - B meet last year was vital to Avon in winning the team championship, and he will team with Jack Martin in the campaign for an MM title this year.
