GWOC: Virtual Meets And All-Time Record Books

Riley Buchholz punctuated a stellar senior year in 2019 with 1600 wins at the Division 1 state meet and the Midwest Meet of Champions.

Centerville's Matt Somerlot has been a busy coach this week. Firstly, a number of days ago, he detailed for MileSplit the long-standing tradition of the Warrior Elk Dual Meet and following that, he served-up a comprehensive breakdown of all-matters GWOC-related.

In a typical year, the annual Greater Western Ohio Conference Championships would have gone down this past week. Of course this year is far from typical, but that didn't stop Somerlot from eliciting some excitement by rounding-up the conference's coaches and having them share their school's historical records, which he eventually converted to an all-time GWOC Virtual Meet

The conference is unquestionably one of the state's finest and you'll notice as much when you review the numbers on the following pages.

* There are, however, a few constraints to note: Springfield is not listed, Springboro lists their top marks only and Northmont populates just one runner in the 1600.

Thanks to Matt Somerlot for all of the leg-work - enjoy some great stats, courtesy of the Elks coach.
