Flashback Friday: Reny Sets Class B 300m Hurdle Record
Today we flashback to the 2019 Class B outdoor track and field championship held at Brewer High School. Cony sophomore Anna Reny had the best hurdle race of her life as she dominated the field clocking a personal best 45.12 to win the event by over a second and a half. The mark broke the 11-year-old record of 45.36 set by former Greely standout Abby Diehl.
Reny's time moved her into a tie for the seventh fastest performer in state history in the event. Anna also equalled the state sophomore record of 45.12 set by Darcy Cochran of cape Elizabeth in 2018.
Anna also finished as the state runner-up in the 100m hurdles (15.59) and the 200m (26.60). She also ran a leg on the third-place 4x400m relay (4:18.42). On the day Reny scored 27.5 points.
