Girls Class LL

Sprints

Tess Stapleton smashed the state record in the 55 hurdles to provide the biggest highlight in the LL sprints. Among the other winners here were New Britain's Stella Ofei of New Britain in the 55m, Glastonbury's Samantha Forrest defended her title in the 300m, and Trumbull's Emily Alexandru in the 600m.


Distance

Norwich Free Academy's Kayla Park was the new winner in these events as she captured the 1000m title. Manchester's Kate Hedlund won the 1000m last year and took the 1600m this time by holding off Danbury's Jenna Zydanowicz. Greenwich's Mari Noble defended her title in the 3200m as Jenna Zydanowicz again took 2nd.


Field

Glastonbury's Allison Schindler raised he season's mark to 5-4 to win the high jump, and Paige Martin repeated her championship in the pole vault with this time an LL record at 12-3. Tess Stapleton of Fairfield Ludlowe took her second title of the day by going 18-1.25 in the long jump, and Southington's Trinity Cardillo took the shot put at a top 43-7.5 for a personal best.


Relays

Glastonbury repeated in both the 4x200m and 4x400m to help boost them to the team title. Greenwich took the 4x800m while Hall captured the SMR to aid their silver medal effort in the team scores.
