Hillhouse just had too much fire power for the rest of the class M teams. The Academics had three big wins from Kristen Washington in the triple jump who jumped 36'5.5, freshman Leah Moore taking shot put with a 37'9.75 and to cap it off, won the 4 x 400m in a meet record time.  The team of Jada Boyd, Nyia White, Dejanay Davis and Nyimah Ambrose ran the fastest time in New England this season with a 3:55.70.

All that was nowhere near enough to defeat runner up Weston.  What really put them over the top was the fact they scored at least two people in six events and scored in eleven events total.

Katherine Jacobs of Northwest Catholic finished 3rd her sophomore year in the 100HH, 2nd last year and finally made the victory circle and set a meet record.  Her time of 14.56, is nearly a half second personal record and only the 2nd time she has broken 15 seconds.

Alex Korczynski led Windham to their first class meet title in 22 years. The senior who has committed to Northeastern University made an very tough triple look easy. He earned 30 point all by himself by winning the 1600m in 4:24.54, the 800m in 1:54.94 and finished with a 9:39.57 3200m. Junior Natanael Barbosa Torres also earned 20 points by taking gold in the shot (48-01) and discus throw (133-02) to outscore a deep Stonington team by 6.5 points.

One of the biggest surprises of the day was when  Aidan O'Connor of Lewis Mills made a foot improvement in the pole vault and jumped 14'0.  The sophomore came in seeded 5th but tied for the state lead in the event and is currently ranked as the 67th best sophomore pole vaulter in the country.
