Danbury Invite Lived Up To The Hype (revised)

Gleen was Gleaming in the 800m

In the 800m, Tyler Gleen of Trumbull went out hard from the gun and made it a one-man show, running a 1:52.21, which bettered his previous best by .01.  Gleen credits his coach Bill Gaudes for setting up a training plan that is allowing him to run so well.

"Last year I died at the end of the season," he said.  "But now I am taking two days of easy running and then a workout".  He feels this is what is making him stronger toward the end of the season.  The New England 600m champion this indoor season hopes to run 1:50 and looks forward to racing Randy Neish of Glastonbury, who ran the star-studded mile right after the 800.

"Neish is good at what he does" stated the junior and hopes he can be there to challenge the current state leader in the championship races ahead.
