Marshfield’s Ellen DiPietro won the girls’ high jump title (5 feet 8 inches), and BC High’s Jordan Samuels captured the boys’ triple jump (47-7) at Saturday’s New England track and field championships in New Britain, Conn.
DiPietro, a junior, set a new school record and completed a sterling postseason run that saw her capture high-jump crowns at the Atlantic Coast League meet (5-61/2), the Div. 2 state meet (5-6) and the All-State meet (5-6).
