Meet Information
Welcome:

Coaches and their high school teams from CT, NY, MA and RI are invited to register for the SCC Coaches Invitational Meet on Saturday, January 11, 2014 starting at 9:00am.

* The meet is open to coaches and their high school age athletes competing with their high school team that are on the list of schools with Intent to Enter forms accepted on the Meet Reports page.

* Online Intent to Enter form required for participation, first 60 teams accepted in addition to SCC teams.

* All SCC Coaches must submit an on-time Intent to Enter.


* There is a CIAC Border sanction for the meet with NY, MA and RI.


Important Note: Similar to the meet last year, the Event Schedule is split where Girls will compete in the morning to early afternoon and then the Boys will compete in the afternoon to early evening.

Facility:

The meet will be held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven, CT. Athletes may use pyramid spikes no larger than 1/8th of an inch (no needle spikes allowed).

Registration:

There is a CIAC Border sanction for the meet with NY, MA and RI.
All meet registration is administered by EZ Meet Services in association with the NSSF Head Count registration system.
All interested coaches must complete an Online Intent to Enter form on the Registration Instructions page. Online Intent to Enter form required for participation, first 60 teams accepted in addition to SCC teams.

Head Count event entry deadline for on-time entry is 6:00 pm Eastern, Sunday, January 5, 2014.
No day of meet entries.
Entry Procedures and Limits:

Athletes can compete in any two events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than two events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's two events.
Two (2) entries per school in each event.
One (1) Relay team per school per event (no B teams).
Entry Fees:

Co-ed Teams: $250.00 or 1 Gender Team: $125.00
Terms for Intent to Enter: Team Reservation and Meet cancellation fees are charged as part of the overall meet fee. As coach representing a team you are required to Accept or Reject the following Meet fees prior to submitting your Intent to Enter information. For teams participating on meet day both fees are included as part of the standard team fee.
1. Due to the limited capacity for this Indoor meet the Meet Director requires a Team Reservation Fee where if your team doesnt attend the meet and you failed to notify the Meet Director by email by 9pm on Monday 12/23/2013 then payment of $125 (co-ed) or $65 (single gender) is required from the school.

2. You are also responsible for payment of the Meet Cancellation Fee where if the meet is cancelled due to weather or lack of facility then payment of $25.00 is required from the school to defray meet expenses.

Note that Entry fees are charged for ENTERING the meet. You owe for each team entry made online. There are NO REFUNDS for scratches or no shows.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

The CIAC order of events for the 2013-14 season will be followed. All rules which govern the CIAC meet series will be in use during this meet.
Athletes may only use pyramid spikes less than 1/8th of an inch. No Needle spikes allowed.
In order to benefit the athletes by ensuring more accurate seeding by coaches and decreasing the time to contest each heat in the event, Meet Director Bob Davis has added a special meet rule for the 3200m Run for Boys and Girls in the SCC Coaches Invite on 1/11/2014.
3200m Meet Rule: The finish timing of each heat of the 3200m Run will be stopped 1-minute after the winning time and athletes who have not finished the race will be asked to step off the track.
Implement Check:

All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.
