Meet Information
Walker Valley High school in Cleveland was the host of this years A-AA region meet. The top four places from this meet advance on to Anderson Co. for the TSSAA sectional meet.
The A-AA region meet started out wet and soggy on Thursday at Walker Valley with the high jump, long jump, and the triple jump being postponed till Friday. The shot put, discus, and the prelims in the 100, 200, and the 400 were contested in wet and cool conditions.
Friday was a much better day sunny and warm. The warmer weather helped bring out more spectators and dried out the track. With the rest of the field events being contested and the finals for all the running events athletes were nervous because they had to place in the top four to advance on to the sectional meet.
