Nelson Laskoski is ranked 11th in the nation coming off a second place finish this past weekend at the Metropolitan Championships.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Nelson Laskoski (Pomfret Center, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field is the newest addition to the NCAA Division II national leaderboard for the Owls this week. Laskoski is coming off a second place finish in the pole vault at the Metropolitan Championships clearing a height of 4.80 meters and is ranked 11th in the nation.

Connor Coleman (Gunnisod, Colo.)  claimed third at the UConn Decathlon Invitational on April 10 and managed to reach a number of top marks on the NCAA Division II national leaderboard. Coleman is ranked second in the decathlon with 7030 points followed by Nick Lebron (Newington, Conn.) in seventh with 6913 points and Justin Escaravage (Brookfield, Conn.) in 18th with 6401 points. Coleman also ranks 17th in the javelin with a throw of 60.56 meters and 29th in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.63.

Joseph Poulsen (Oxford, Conn.) is ranked 12th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a mark of 9:11.62 obtained at the Sam Howell Invitational held on April 6.

A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn.) is ranked 17th in the hammer throw with a mark of 57.34 meters achieved at the Army Dick Shea Open on March 30.

The Owls will be back in action this weekend in Princeton, N.J. for the Larry Ellis Invitational to be held on April 20-21.
