Bloomfield boys indoor track and field coach Garfield White doesn't like taking anybody from the sport they love.

That's not his job. 

So when it comes time for the winter season, White encourages the school's athletes to play the sport they will enjoy the most and most of the time that sport is basketball.

But the championship winning track coach does make sure to remind those athletes of one thing. 

"If you're not too good at basketball, you can always come and join us," White said between laughs Tuesday.

And this season, they certainly have.
