Clark Shurtleff has some goals to achieve
WOODBRIDGE — It was a self-proclaimed breakout year for Amity senior Clark Shurtleff during the 2010-11 indoor track season.
Shurtleff placed second in the 1,600 meters at both the Class LL state championship meet and at the State Open, earning him Register All-Area honors in the process.
He also placed second in the event at the New England championships, finishing in 4 minutes, 20.76 seconds, just over two seconds behind winner Robert Allen of Cranston West (R.I.).
Shurtleff, though, has loftier goals this season.
