NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut State University men's cross country/track and field coach John Wallin has announced the team's 2011 schedule. The Owls will have five competitions leading up to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Oct. 22. SCSU opens the season on Sept. 2 at the Central Connecticut Blue Devil Invitational.

After the opener at CCSU, the Owls are back in action on Sept. 17 for the Division II Cross Country Challenge at Kutztown University (Pa.). SCSU will take part in the Metropolitan Championships on Sept. 30 in its final meet of the month.

There are three meets in the month of October. The first is on Oct. 9 at the New England Championships in Boston. The following weekend, the team is slated for action at the Connecticut College Invitational, the final competition leading into the NE-10 Championships.

The NCAA Regionals will be held on Nov. 6 at Franklin Park in Boston.
