Limited Space Remains For 2011 Girls and Women in Sports Day Event

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – There are just a handful of spots remaining for the 'Girls and Women in Sport' Day at Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department, Office of Alumni Relations, Comcast, Bruegger's Bakery-Café and Coca-Cola will also serve as sponsors of this year's event.
The day will begin at 9:45 a.m. at Moore Field House with registration and complimentary breakfast from Bruegger's. Participants will then take part in a variety of sports at clinic stations from 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. At the conclusion of the clinic station instruction, participants will then be treated to a complimentary lunch.
Following lunch, the participants will have an opportunity to meet with and receive autographs from all of the Southern Connecticut State University student-athletes in attendance as clinicians.
All participants must wear sneakers and athletic clothing and bring a water bottle. Registration is limited to the first 200 female participants in grades 1-8 that have submitted signed both a registration form and an assumption of risk form. Parents or guardians must remain in the facility and support their child for the duration of the event.
