Countdown: No. 13, Irabor Wins D1 With 24-Footer

As expected, this was an extremely difficult task. With so many to chose from, we have come up with a list of what we consider the top 20 performances of the outdoor track & field season. We rank them in order, beginning with No. 20 and finishing with No. 1.

Countdown: No. 13, Irabor Win D1 With 24-Footer

The long jump at the Eastern Massachusetts' Division 1 Championships was one of the most impressive events of any meet this season. The top four finishers leaped further than 23 feet, a distance that considered national-caliber status. But only one in the field would exceed 24 feet and it was Xaverian Brothers' senior Ikechukwu Irabor. Irabor won the competition by nearly 7 inches with a state-leading 24-4 (US #15). He would later finish third overall at the All State Championship, but stands alone as the only leaper in MA to reach the 24-foot barrier this season.
