Plainfield North (IL) High sophomore Marcellus Moore had another strong weekend, this time in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On Saturday at the Arkansas High School Invitational Moore cruised to two of the top times in the nation.
Moore won both the 60m and 200m dash. In the 60m dash, he ran a new U.S. No. 3 time of 6.85. His win in the 200m was also strong as he ran 21.30, for U.S. No. 2.
Moore is following up last weekend's big runs, when he ran 6.94 to place second in the 60m dash and 21.61 to win the 200m at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic. Moore's 200m time from A&M was the previous U.S. No. 5 mark.
After Texas A&M, Moore made a huge jump in the MileSplit 50 rankings, moving up 28 spots to 17th. This weekend we should see him take another nice jump as he now holds two of the top times in the nation.
