Arkansas High School Invitational Mixes Up 200m Rankings

On Saturday, Arkansas High School Invitational mixed up the girls 200m rankings. Many girls jumped into or improved their rank in the top 50 in the national rankings.

The group in Arkansas was led by sophomore Jayla Hollis, who ran for the North Texas Cheetahs. Hollis ran a 24.17 for a new U.S. No. 5 performance. She also won the 60mH in a new U.S. No. 12 time of 8.83.

Hollis's North Texas teammate JaEra Griffin also threw down big in the 200m dash finals. Griffin ran the second-fastest time in the nation for a freshman with her 24.72. She is now only behind Gainesville High School's Tamari Davis, who ran 24.08 already at the USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational.

Davis ranks U.S. No. 4 while Griffin ranks U.S. No. 13.
