VOTE For The Best Performance Of The Weekend!

With no meets in-state, Massachusetts' athletes and teams went beyond the borders to find competition. Speaking of borders, it was at New Hampshire's Alvirine High where a handful of our schools tangled in the annual Battle of the Borders. While the Bay State was able to take home the overall titles and bragging rights. Groton-Dunstable was able to secure the girls' team with a slight victory over second-place Coe-Brown. Groton-Dunstable's Emily Wilson sparked her teammates by finishing sixth overall. On a very difficult 5K terrain in Vermont, Sophia Jacobs-Townsley finished second at the Wood Trails Run with a low 19-minute effort. Brookline's Lucas Aramburu was third overall in the boys' race. The Wickham Park Invitational, Connecticut's top meets of the fall season, had a strong fourth-place finish from Xaverian Brothers' John Mariano in the featured seeded race. Meghan Davis of Mohawk Trail Regional won the unseeded race in a time that would have placed her fourth overall in the three races combined (seeded, unseeded, championship).

Now we want your vote. Of the seven performances we mentioned, what do you feel is the best of them all. Voting ends Saturday at midnight.

* With nearly 50 percent of the votes, St. John Prep's Tristan Shelgren was our top vote-getter from last week's poll. Shelgren was nominated for his victory in the Championship race of the Frank Kelley Invitational.
