Gone is the long hair but not the talent for former Wilton standout Spencer Brown.
Spencer Brown, a former middle distance star from Wilton High, has put his creative talents to work.
The current Georgetown sophomore has created a YouTube channel entitled, The Athlete Special: Come Watch The Life Of A Runner. The channel consists of more than 35 videos showing training workouts and races with his teammates and friends at home and in college.
"I started the channel about a year ago because not many people know much about the life of a college runner," states Brown. "I wanted to share my story by bringing people along on my journey as an athlete. I take running seriously but I always make sure that I enjoy it and it never becomes a burden to me. The videos show his training routines and are interspersed with training tips and humor."
During his outstanding high school career, Brown won the state indoor 1,000-meter crown and outdoor 800m title in 2015. He was the individual winner of the featured mile race at the 2016 Danbury Dream Invitational. At Georgetown, he owns bests of 4:04 for the mile and 1:49.31 in the 800m.
