HANNAH DEBALSI
Friday afternoon's race is only the beginning for Hannah, who is the odds on favorite to win her third individual title at the State Open. This race should be more of a confidence-booster for the upcoming Foot Locker Regionals and Nationals in late November and early December. Hannah should win fairly comfortably. How fast she goes is basically how fast she wants to go. She goes into the race with a season best 5K time of 18:14, which she did to capture the Class LL Championship this past Saturday. She also had victories at the Wilton Invitational and the FCIAC Championships. Hannah hasn't raced much, no doubt to peak at the right time for bigger and better things at the end of the month.
