Connecticut Harriers Rule Woods Trail Run

Connecticut runners were front and center at the annual Woods Trail Run at Thetford Academy, VT.

Competing on the same challenging five-kilometer course that will host the New England Championships next month, the Nutmeg State claimed four of the first five placements in the top-seeded boys' race.

Glastonbury High all-stater Randy Neish won the race with a time of 16 minutes, 12.9 seconds. He was 17 seconds ahead of runner-up Cameron Daly of Inner-Lake, NH. Finishing third overall was Patrick Briody in 16:32.4. He was followed across the line by familiar CT rivals, Drew Thompson of Fairfield Prep (fourth, 16:32.4) and Kyle Beaudette of Amity (16:47.2).

Glastonbury's Gaelyn Kattman posted the fastest time for CT girls, taking tenth overall in the top-seeded race with a time of 19:48.8.
